Liebe Babsy-Community, Freunde, Bekannte und Fans
der Sommer neigt sich langsam dem Ende zu, und wir hoffen, dass ihr die warmen Tage in vollen Zügen genossen habt.
Wir möchten euch mit «News» nicht nerven, sondern einen Mehrwert bieten. Da wir irgendwann einmal Anknüpfungspunkte hatten, erhaltet ihr diese Mail erstmalig, solltet ihr dies nicht wünschen dürft ihr euch selbstversändlich ganz unten abmelden, aber wir würden uns natürlich sehr freuen, wenn wir so mit euch "vernetzt" bleiben können.
Geplant ist, euch zweimal im Jahr auf dem Laufenden zu halten, was bei uns gelaufen ist, was geplant ist und woran wir arbeiten. Babsy setzt sich inzwischen nicht mehr nur dafür ein, dass Eltern und Kinderbetreuer:innen sich in einer sicheren Umgebung suchen und Finden können, sondern generell dafür, dass Menschen das Gemeinsame Miteinander einer nachhaltigen Organisation erleben können.
Denn auch bei uns im Verein Babsy war es eine aufregende Zeit mit vielen tollen Aktivitäten. Hier ein Überblick über die wichtigsten Neuigkeiten und kommenden Ereignisse:

Das Babsy A-B-C
Auf unserer Homepage gibt es regelmässig Einblicke in unser Vereinsleben mit dem neuen «Babsy A-B-C» unserem Blog-Newsletter wo wir alphabethisch jeweils die Buchstaben nutzen, um Key-Wörter zu beschreiben, und was diese mit uns zu tun haben. Eine Ehre für unser Ehrenamtliches Engagement!
Wir sind gleich für 2 Preise nominiert bzw. in Frage gekommen, was eine grosse Ehre ist. In Aargau für den Aargauer Sozialpreis der Landeskirchen und benevol und in Basel für den Prix Schappo. Aktuelle Projekte
Ja, auch was unsere sonstige Arbeit betrifft, ist wieder einiges passiert.
Im App wurden zahlreiche, neue App features umgesetzt – oftmals sind es Kleinigkeiten, andere Dinge brauchen mehr Programmierung, aber nun kann man beispielsweise in der App Videotelefonieren, was wieder ein toller und nachhaltiger Schritt in eine gute, rasche, aber auch sichere Kommunikation ist. Und wir sind noch nicht fertig, 2 Entwicklungsrunden sind noch geplant, als nächstes steht an, die gegenseitige Bewertung mit Feedbacks einzubauen als auch das automatisierte Zahlungssystem und weitere Kleinigkeiten. Ihr seht, wir nehmen eure Feedbacks und Rückmeldungen sehr ernst und versuchen alles, um diese umzusetzen. Wenn es auch manchmal lange geht da wir jeweils die Gelder hierfür mittels Fundraising beschaffen müssen und durch tolle Helfer:innen auch mit viel Freizeit alle mitagieren, aber jedes Stück ist ein weiterer Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Neben den beiden aktuellen Angeboten ohne oder mit Treuhandunterstützung folgt zudem demnächst das Premium-Paket im Personalverleih, dass Eltern auch ohne Arbeitgebende sein zu müssen, auf Betreuung zurückgreifen können. Schon länger haben wir dies ja auf unserer Homepage angekündigt, nun endlich haben wir mit Rhy Personal AG den Partner gefunden, um diese Möglichkeit anzubieten.
Zudem planen wir bald Mitglieder im Verein willkommen zu heissen und auch auf Sponsoren zuzugehen. Seit 5 Jahren arbeiten wir rein spendenbasiert, vielen Menschen aber wäre es ein Anliegen auch einfach Mitglied bei uns zu sein, um unsere Arbeit auch ideell zu unterstützen, diese Möglichkeit möchten wir nun schaffen. Zusätzlich können wir so die Ressourcen besser bündeln, mehr Unterstützungs- und Entlastungsmöglichkeiten erarbeiten und gemeinsam mit den Mitgliedern und der gesamten Community wachsen.
Ganz wichtig ist auch die Aus- und Überarbeitung der Firmenangebote, nach einem erfolgreichen, 2-jährigen Pilotprojekt haben wir nun alle Parameter, dass wir das Angebot auch Firmen eröffnen können, welche die Buchungsspenden für ihre bei sich arbeitenden Eltern übernehmen möchten, um damit einen wertvollen Beitrag zu leisten für die Vereinbarkeit von Familie, Beruf und Selbstverwirklichung, aber auch woman back 2 work, Gleichberechtigung und work-life-balance sind davon tangiert.
Vielleicht habt ihr es auch schon gesehen, neu haben wir einen Event- und Familien-Kalender auf unserer Homepage gestaltet. Dieser lädt auch dazu ein, von extern Events zu teilen, nach kurzer Prüfung können wir diese freischalten. Wir möchten damit erreichen, eine bessere Übersicht aller Anlässe rund um Familien und Kindern zu schaffen, je mehr also sich hier mitbeteiligen, desto besser wird diese Übersicht. Und natürlich informieren wir auch über unsere künftigen Events darüber. Wenn wir aber schon dabei sind >> Unser nächsten Anlass ist in Planung. Wir möchten im 2025 wieder aktiv Meet & Greet the Babsy-Anlässe durchführen. Nach Corona war es nicht ganz so einfach und die ersten beiden Versuche waren spärlich besucht, dies lag aber auch daran, dass wir noch nicht die Instrumente hatten, diese lang im Vorfeld zu planen und zu bewerben, das aber ändert sich mit den neuen Kalendertool.

As summer gradually comes to an end, we hope you've enjoyed the warm days to the fullest.
Our intention with this newsletter is not to overwhelm you with "news," but to provide real value. Since we had points of contact at some point, you will receive this mail for the first time, if you do not wish this, you can of course unsubscribe at the bottom, but of course we would be very happy if we can stay "networked" with you in this way.
We plan to keep you updated twice a year about what's been happening with us, what's in the making, and what we're currently working on.
Babsy is now focused not only on helping parents and sitters find each other in a safe environment but also on fostering a sustainable community where people can experience togetherness.

On our website, you can regularly gain insights into our association's life through the new "Babsy A-B-C," our blog-newsletter, where we use the alphabet to describe keywords and their relevance to us. An Honor for Our Voluntary Commitment!
We have been nominated for two awards, which is a great honor. In Aargau, for the Aargau Social Prize from the regional churches and benevol, and in Basel, for the Prix Schappo. Current Projects
A lot has happened in our work as well. Numerous new features have been implemented in the app—some are small, while others require more programming. For example, you can now make video calls within the app, which is a significant and sustainable step toward a fast and safe communication. And we’re not finished yet—two more development rounds are planned, including the addition of mutual feedback ratings and an automated payment system, among other enhancements. As you can see, we take your feedback seriously and strive to implement it, even if it sometimes takes a while since we need to fundraise for these projects and rely on our amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to help. But each step is a step towards the right direction.
In addition to the current options with or without fiduciary support, the premium package for personnel leasing will soon be launched, allowing parents to access care without needing to be employers themselves. We've been announcing this on our website for some time, and we’re pleased to have finally found a partner in Rhy Personal AG to offer this option.
We also plan to soon welcome members to our association and approach sponsors. For the past five years, we've been working solely on donations, but many people have expressed a desire to support us as members, so we want to create this opportunity. This will also allow us to better pool resources, develop more support options, and grow together with our members and the entire community.
It’s also crucial to mention the expansion and revision of our corporate offerings. After a successful two-year pilot project, we now have all the parameters to open up the service to companies who want to cover booking donations for their working parents, contributing to the balance between family, work, and self-fulfillment, as well as supporting women returning to work, equality, and work-life balance.
You may have already noticed that we've added a new event and family calendar to our website. This calendar invites external events to be shared; after a brief review, we can approve them. Our goal is to create a better overview of all events related to families and children. The more people contribute, the better this overview will be. Of course, we also use it to inform you about our upcoming events. Speaking of which our next event is in the planning stages. We aim to resume the "Meet & Greet the Babsy" events in 2025. After COVID, it wasn’t easy, and the first two attempts were sparsely attended, partly because we didn’t have the tools to plan and promote them well in advance, but this will change with the new calendar tool.
To close this newsletter, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you. Thank you so much for your trust, understanding, and support over the past months and years. We would not have come this far without you!
